Phillips flat screen/lcd turning on and off

Hey, My tv has taken to turning itself on and off. Its fine for about 10 mins when you turn it on first but then it switches itself off and then on again. Then this starts happening every few seconds. I spoke to a man in a repair shop who said he reckons that this is a power supply issue and that it will cost around €250…

Hey,

My tv has taken to turning itself on and off. Its fine for about 10 mins when you turn it on first but then it switches itself off and then on again. Then this starts happening every few seconds. I spoke to a man in a repair shop who said he reckons that this is a power supply issue and that it will cost around €250 to be repaired (around 1/4 the price of the tv!!!!) has anyone had this experience or can anyone recommend a course of action?
