It'll be a fun walk home from abbott's ale house for me anyway. The shout for the Patrick's Hill challenge is bound to go up!

le⋅thal: causing great harm or destruction

wasn't using it as slang :D my friend and I have both fallen on it

Drove down from Cork today via macroom millstreet. Was dodgy out. At times i drove into complete black ice with cars coming towards me. If i stepped on the brakes or done anything crazy I'd be gone.

Going down the road there and a car mounted a ditch, neighbour pulled them out :p

Freezer indeed, in the pic above, the Fi is standing on the frozen Lough

Fifi is gorgeous Roverjames! Can't believe that's the lough! Have to take a trip out there! I assume it'd be too dangerous for you or me to go onto the ice? :(

I'd get a pic of my baby but I use the work comp for boards so can't hook up my digi cam. Happen to have a few pics on the hard drive here from staff nights so use them for the "no picf no post" threads... Over and over again... :o

Didn't think the city was too bad this morning. Slipped a little crossing the road on the Grand Parade though.

coldest morning I've seen so far in East Cork: -6. the roads were fine though, bar a couple of dodgy patches.

still no water into the house, if we don't get it sorted today I reckon we'll be out till next week at least.

    Sounds rough.
But we are really getting away lightly here.
Dublin Airport closed, snow ploughs on the M50
minus 10 in my home place (meath) last night
All back roads near impassable unless you have a jeep/tractor

Oh and here's a lake 3 miles from my parents house

There was loads of people on it, no probs at all but still a bit dodgy imo, there was one guy cycling across it. Also there was adult women in boots with heels (small area) and no bother either.

I hope not, in my two and a half years in Dublin in my younger years I found the Dubs to be splendid folks, particularly the Northsiders I may add :)

it's snowing lightly in Glounthaune, and I'm hearing reports of snow in Kinsale, Togher and Midleton. I don't think it's heavy yet or anything.

Place is destroyed with snow here. No idea how I'm going to drive up if it's like this all the way up. Safer go mallow way either way anyways.

    Great...
Treacherous conditions on the N22 Cork/Mallow Rd at Rathduff. Rathduff village is almost impassable.
