Anyone know what it was for the record?

Talking about other tipsters I paid Steve Lewis Hamilton of Romford about £350 odd during the jumps season 06 -07 and he was APPALLING, never again. I also paid £50 a month to Guy Ward and he was a tad better. His stats are worth reading and he sometimes gives free stuff away especially during Cheltenham where he has been occasionally outstanding. He usually has something on the progambler site on Saturdays. But I'm sticking to "Vanilla" T. Segal myself.

I'm informed the horse I named is the correct horse.

    It finished 5th -
chased leaders until lost place over 5f out, towards rear and no chance on outside when hung left over 1f out

That one was weak in the market , 23 and 24 just before the off on Betfair.

I think luberon is a great tip. Mark Johnson has a great record on the all weather in the winter. Luberon is his only horse running in lingfield today as well, and it's not an easy trip down from middleham in the north to lingfield in this weather

The signs aren't great, really drifing now, 15/2 now. Would lay it only I have small stakes on it anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 478 ✭✭Seanohea

Last by 5 lengths from 2nd last. Pointbreak has pointed out a good trend there with the horses that drift like mad. Once betting starts on course it tends to become perfectly apparent that word has come from connections that it's not the horse's day for one reason or another.
I've yet to see a horse tipped from pricewise extra that drifts like mad close to the race go on and win.

Thanks, the logic says that the support for the pricewise horses should under normal circumstances be enough for it to hold its price at least. If it is suddenly layed for substantial amounts of money, there is something not quite right. In the last 5 months I can only find 2 minor drifters that won....7/2-4/1 and 5/1 -11/2. Everything else lost. Todays was also tipped by ATR so with their followers and pricewise, you would think it should have started below the advised price............. no doubt it will go pear shaped some time, but that is 16 losers I have avoided since I started that system.

If u backed it early to get a decent price, and then close to the race, especially when betting opens up on the racecourse it drifts like mad you could lay it off, it could be a great way to get out considering the amount of successful drifters, 2 in 16 as they've been followed.
I wouldn't necessarily consider doing this at the wknd with segal, unless on the all weather of course as he's useless at that and hates it, he admits it himself.
Would definetley consider doing it on any pricewise extra tips I follow during the week.

I heard it's good. But I'm not totally sure statto, you advised me to look at a chap called Colin Davey before, and he was rubbish, worse than mel collier. Couldn't tip a winner to save his life

Very interesting I have great respect for Tom Segal. I`m assuming the results are based on advised prices but what prices can we REALISTICALLY expect to get?
Looking @ oddschecker toay`s tipped horse @ 0953hrs is showing a best price 8/1 (with 5 bookies) and 9.4 @ betfair. From what i can see the best price has been 11/1 (3 bookies) i would reckon the total stake allowed @ these prices would be £10 per bookie so that`s £30 @11/1 in total.

So the price is now trading @ 8/1 for REALISTIC fluidity that`s 73% of advised price i wonder how this would affect the pw`s results and would he still be profitable in the REAL world.

This post is by no means a criticism of Tom Segal who is, by my reckoning, the best tipster of the current era and second to none, just a reminder to anyone out there who might be considering giving up the day job and following tipsters full time!

    Get REAL!!!
