0Z GFS was a bit of a snowfest for the east, southeast, south.

0Z UKM brings quite heavy precip to southern areas on Monday morning.

That is what you call Graupel or snow grains and not sleet...impossible at these temperatures even in Glasnevin!:D:D:D:D Still -6 in West Dublin but a hige variance around the country...East coast freezing and inland as well of course but Kerry a balmy + 2.:D:D

It's sleet at the moment in Dublin 6w.

From what I've heard I don't think we're due any significant snowfall today are we?

    Or is it Sunday already?!

NOT Sleet, it's called "graupel", in other name snow grains. Small balls of frozen together flakes, that give a distinguishable patting sound when falling :)

Snowing quite heavily in Rathfarnham, and proper snow too. Met Eireann's forecast for today is wrong already, at least snow wise :-)

And this is a "real cold winter" for Ireland..

Only ones obsessed are those demanding more and more snow.

    Where you been hiding?

If you're going to continue to post here, could you learn to quote properly please like everyone else? You're posts are annoying and difficult to read!

    Oh, and...Bring on the snow!

The models didnt really predict much snow showers coming in this morning but there is always the chance of that happening.

i'm almost glad i'm sick so i can stay at home and watch the flakes falling out the window, instead of trying to get a glimpse of it at work whenever i'm not too busy lol.

have to go into the city center to see the doctor at lunch time though, i hope at that stage that the city isn't in a panic about travel again :( the luas seems to have been working steadily on the green line all through this weather, so hopefully that will stay that way!

Snow in Kimmage too. Sticking. Lovely fluffy stuff. Would make a great postcard shot, altho demand for postcards of Kimmage is quite low.

Snow is stopping now in Dublin 18 and there's some blue sky starting to break through. Definitely got a lot brighter in the last few minutes.
