Are you a breast or a leg man?

Or would you prefer a bit of stuffing?

Personally, it depends on the time of day. For the Christmas dinner, you can't beat a bit of breast. However, later in the evening when the nibbles hit, there is nothing better than a bit of leg. Oh, and stuffing.

So, what kind of man are you - leg or breast?

There is of course the best answer of all - "both". once it is nice succulent flesh, its all good.

I've always been partial to an oul' breast myself. Sometimes with the legs you find that they're a bit hairy if they haven't been plucked properly, which can put a man off. That said, if there's no chance of a bit of breast I'll gladly slobber over a nice leg.

So, Brother Zaph, are you saying that you agree with the notion that "Breast is best?"

I think I'd have to agree with that statement. I got very excited when I heard that a "Breast in a Bun" is available in Cork. Must give it a go sometime.

Breast is nice, but a liitle over-rated. Legs is where the action is, with some butterscotch angel delight.

Focus here, Brother trout. We are talking about turkey legs.

Savoury and sweet? Intriguing. Given the season, I suppose there are parallels to naughty and nice.

    I like it.

Summed up nicely. Nothing beats a tasty pair of legs.

You can't get Breast in a Bun in Dublin? WTF is all that about?

    Shut it, you.

I'd be a leg woman but only when it comes to the deep-fried variety. When it comes to the Christmas turkey I'm definitely a breast woman. I prefer the ham. Actually I prefer the vegetable and the stuffing but I would never shun the pork, unlike certain Brothers.

I admit it, I'm not enthusisastic about ham (although lean, dry-but-just-moist, honey-roasted ham ain't bad), much preferring bacon.

That's alright, smashey. I'm sure mrs smashey doesn't want you sharing your sausage with other women.

A question that is always close to my heart, but even more so during the Christmas season. Being the youngest in my family and often last to the table (it's a marathon, not a sprint), I'm often not given the choice as the legs are usually snaffled long before I get there. I usually whinge and moan and use it as an excuse to get first dibs at the tin of sweets, but secretly I wanted the breast all along. I might be caught out this year though - instead of one big turkey we're having two small ones for some reason.

*wonders how much of a beating I'd get for making the above my signature.......

None. Don't put it in quote tags though.
