    Agbonlahor / Torres / Rooney

    Atm i have 3 mil in the bank, a front line of;

    Agbonlahor - Bent - Drogba

Agbonlahor's been playing well and in consistent form, Rooney not so much.

But utd's fixtures are very nice in the coming weeks.

I don't want to put the 3 mill anywhere else, but at the same time im kinda happy with Agbonlahor.

Any stong arguments for Rooney/Torres (other than Torres being one of the best strikers in Europe!), i just feel Rooney scores in fits and starts and Liverpool are trunks atm.

I'd ditch Bent. Sunderland have had a poor few games since Clattermole got injured and they've very tricky fixtures coming up. Bent will still get six points but I think his .... and Andy Reid's ... amazing run has come to an end.

Get Fletcher or someone and upgrade a midfielder to Arshavin.

Not a bad shout. I'm trying to field an XI for this week with my entire bench absent and Zayatte has no fixture either but might look at him for the weekend.

Along with Sunderland, I think Birmingham's run is about up.

    Blackburn Home
    Everton Away
    Chelsea Home
    Stoke Away
    Utd Home
    Pompey Away
    Chelsea Away
    Spurs Home

Realistically, after Wednesday I'll be looking to ditch Bowyer and Carr for two new cut price players.

    Cattermole is back soon though.

Arshavin is now a must buy. Van Persie is out so he will be playing as the main striker and he will be getting the extra points for being classified as a midfielder - 5 for a goal and the extra point for a clean sheet. They also have a double gameweek in round 20 which sees them play Portsmouth (a) and Bolton (h) so you have to get him or you will lose out.

Gerrard is only back 2 or 3 games, Torres is back 2 games (1 as sub). So I think we will start to see the best of them over the Christmas period. When they play together, it always results in goals.

Liverpool have been scoring goals this season, even when playing poorly. Most of their problems are in defense. Thats why Ive gone for Torres anyway.

Yep, I find it hard to disagree alright... they will turn it around, but until they get that first big result to boost confidence and Torres shows he's 100% fit, Rooney is the better choice. Gerrard is a key supplier for Torres though, he has been back 4 games (Brum, Everton, Blackburn, Arsenal), and not really performed at all. For the time being there are a good few doubts.

They could thump Wigan on Wednesday as they also have problems though. I'm sticking with Rooney for Wolves though. Hopefully as a United fan, he'll repay my faith.

Who's everyones captains for this week?

    I've the choice of:

    Drogba v Pompey
    Rooney v Wolves
    Fabregas v Burnley

    Who should I go for?

Decided to go for a double change this week.

    Rooney out, Torres in
Johnson out (should have got rid ages ago), Evra in.

    Sense.

I'm gonna go for Drogba against Pompey

The thing about Fabregas is that Arsenal are away to Burnley who have done very well at home

And Rooney may well be missing for the Wolves match according to a report or two

Thinking Drogba at the mo seeing as he's on fire, with Rooney not quite so, and Wolves will be confident enough after their result at Spurs!

Really tough call this week. Didn't get hit too hard with players not playing but the choice i have to make is ...

    Do i play

    Reid ... home to Villa.
Steinsson ... home to West Ham
    Fletcher ... home to Arsenal

If you have Drogba captain him. Home to Pompey he should bag a few. :)

    Hart

Ivanovic -- Evra -- Dann --Traore

    Fabregas -- Lampard -- Cohen

    Bent -- Defoe -- Drogba
    Sorenson - Reid - Bikey - Dunn

    2.8million in bank

Team for the week. Few opinions wanted!

Should i put in Reid over Traore/Dann/Cohen???
Birmingham likely to get a clean sheet against a toothless blackburn, Traore could run rot against Burnley full backs, and Bolton are playing a poor Hammers side after a great perfotrmance against city.

Worth bringing in Wes Brown this week?
Obviously a good long term buy, is it worth taking the 4point hit this week and if so who to play in the backs?

    Who to upgrade Ried+Dunn to?
Thinking Arshavin by sacraficing these two and possibly downgrading erva to wes...worth it for the double game week? Playing as a lone striker could see him rake in the points.

With this not being a full gameweek I was hoping my choices would be made for me, but every single one of my players is playing.

    Tough choices to come

Should I play Doyle Away to United or N'Zogbia Away to Pool? Hmmm

Not sure if he is still injured or what the extent of his injury is but he came off against liverpool holding his hamstring....

If Traore is fit he is looking like a fantastic value.

N'zogbia is good for the bonus points! Whoever dishes them out has a man crush on N'zogbia for sure, he has got bonus points for 4 out of the last 5 weeks.

Think this may have been asked before, but i currently have 2 transfers, if i just use one today, will i still have two next game week or will it revert back to one?

Update: fabregas and arshavin now both doubtful on fantasy website.....bricking it here!

    YOU SERIOUS??????????

If so - ill be screwed this week!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

If you only use one you will still only be able to make one next week, it wont carry over.

Fabregas,Gallas and SWP doubtful for me. Also have Shawcross,Sorenson and Distin not playing, and already made my sub to get Wilkinson out. ****.

With the deadline at 7.30 tonight its most likely that the lineups for the first 4 games of the GW will be available by about 7.15 latest. I'm holding off for last minute transfers.

Think that's just ff's interpretation of the word sore. Wenger was bigging up Arshavin because he scored the goal vrs Liverpool with his right foot which has been troubling him. That translates into 'doubtful' on the site.

Fabregas thing is news to me but nothing on the Arsenal site about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    From BBC,

    Arsenal

Suspended: None Doubtful: Fabregas (back), Gallas (thigh), Walcott (ankle), Arshavin (foot), Da Silva (thigh), Traore (hamstring), Diaby (calf).

Warnock out with whiplash for Villa apparently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,125 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

So if Arshavin and Fabregas don't play tonight, would it be a bit of a gamble bringing in Alexander from Burnley at the expense of Carvalho?

Ooo, my head hurts from just trying to sort this out!

Took a 4 point hit to bring in Klasnic from Bolton for Dindane as Bolton's fixtures are nice enough.
