Gerrard as captain was a disaster. What's worse is I sold Kuyt off to get him in not long ago.

I sold Kuyt for Gerrard and hes scored in 2 of 3 games since I got rid, and Gerrards done nothing. Thankfully I ditched Gerrard this week too, although they have some handy games coming up.

I've ditched Gerrard now too. Would be so typical of this game for him to run riot against Wigan and bang in 2 goals.

Whoot, I seldom get to brag about an above decent GW. 73 and I've nearly broken into that top 100.

Just noticed that this week was my second highest scoring week this year.....go me!!! 76 pts.

The 8 pt hit seems to have paid off.

    Transferred...
    Vermaelen(2) for Nelsen (6)
    Cahill (0) for Valencia (2) :(
    Dunn (0) Milner (4)

At least I covered the hit. Although I still had 11 pts. from two players sitting on the bench.

And more importantly I FINALLY picked the right captain this week in Drogba.

Bad week for me. Brought in Defoe with a 4pt hit and had him as captain.
Taught for sure Spurs would hammer Wolves. Crazy week for results etc...
Hoping now to get back to big pts mid week.
Going to put Ronney as captain (H- Wolves) - Has to score

Ha brave man. Spurs at home against Wolves didn't work out for ya and now you're going for it again?! ;) Fairplay.

    current team:

    GK:Sorenson/Hart

    Def: Dunne
    Def: Evra
    Def: Wilkinson/Zayette

    Mid: Milner
    Mid: Fabergas
    Mid: Kuyt
    Mid: Lennon

    St: Bent
    St: Rooney
    St: Adebayor

    other subs: O'Hara, Stearman

ive no money in the bank but 2 free subs for this week

Personally, I'd get rid of Kuyt. Ok he scored 2 in 3 but is having a very underwhelming season. You could easily downgrade him to Bowyer or Reid and upgrade Adebayor to Drogs/Torres

Yeah i slung him out 2 weeks ago (ie before he got the goals) but Liverpool look like they cant keep a clean sheet at all lately (Despite the Everton game) so as a midfielder, you got to weigh up the consequences for that too.

Who to bring in Giggs or Milner?

I think Giggs is a doubt for the next game...need to check that.

    Agbonlahor / Torres / Rooney

    Atm i have 3 mil in the bank, a front line of;

    Agbonlahor - Bent - Drogba

Agbonlahor's been playing well and in consistent form, Rooney not so much.

But utd's fixtures are very nice in the coming weeks.

I don't want to put the 3 mill anywhere else, but at the same time im kinda happy with Agbonlahor.

Any stong arguments for Rooney/Torres (other than Torres being one of the best strikers in Europe!), i just feel Rooney scores in fits and starts and Liverpool are trunks atm.

good game week for me, 73 points. Now, just wondering which of my three chelsea players to stick in as captain for the game against portsmouth - Drogba, lampard or A. Cole

Think I'm going for... Faye + Agbonlahor out, W.Brown + Torres in. Only just have enough money to do that.

So how is everyone coping with 4 teams not playing, surely there are a few people that are fooked?

Personally, pretransfers, I have 4 players not playing which means I have the bare 11 starting. Of that 11 one is a major injury doubt and Scharner, Eagles and Stearman play Liverpool away, Arsenal home and United away. Ivanovic/ACole are rotation risks at home to Porthmouth.

I am mentally prepared for a dreadful week :p

I could tell you but it's blatantly obvious.

Yeah, I expect him to do something now against Wigan, but I knew he wouldn't against Arsenal as he has been playing some unusually poor stuff himself.

I'd like to have a bigger slice of the Chelsea pie vs Portsmouth, but can't afford to get Ashley Cole back, could afford Ivanovic, but he might be rotated....

Rooney or Drogba captain? Have to go with Drogba really with the form he is in. Might drop Rooney for Torres when he gets match-fit

yeah you're right obviously! Ashley Cole it is

I have Sorenson - Just got in Hart as my spare goalie. 4.3, cheap as chips & will be playing most weeks

Do all teams converge so eventually there is just one obvious team? :D

we all end up with a team that looks the same :D My team for this week is a little bit out there though :D

    GK - Sorenson(SC)
    DE - A. Cole(Ch), Vermaelen(AR), Nosworthy(SU), Dunne(AV), Samba(BR)
    MF - Lampard(CH), Fabregas(AR), Milner (AV)
    FD - capt. Drogba(CH), Jerome(BI)

Would normally have Zamora in for Jerome and Hunt in for Nosworthy.

    sorenson isnt playin...

Absolutely terrible past few weeks, have dropped right back in all my leagues.

In anger I made a few rash changes right after Sundays games and will lose 8 points this coming week in doing so. But i'm determined I can get back.

What are peoples opinions on dropping Rooney for Torres now that he is fit again ? Rooney doesnt have many more points than Torres, which is surprising since he has played a lot more games.

I know and neither is my reserve keeper :) Sure feck it, I'll take the hit, I'm not going to transfer in another keeper when i want to save my transfers :D

Since I planned for it, pretty well. :pac:

Wise choice, a hit is rarely worth it for a keeper.

i dont know...your guaranteed 2 points for playin and u never know what else could happen, a peno save or even 3 saves gets u another point
