Suprised at everyone going for Defoe, they have harder games coming up after Wolves. If there was ever a time he was going to be rested for a game chances are it will be now and Crouch and Keane will start. Not worth the risk bringing him in for it imo.
I agree to an extent, but it's easy to see him scoring 3/4 against Wolves, if you bought him this week and stuck him as captain, it'd pay for his release next week. Then again, watch him get sent off and score zilch.

I really cant see him starting to be honest, hes got a good run lately with the teams they have and Crouch will be itching to get a game so for me its to risky to have him and definitely wouldnt go with him as captain when there are other players sure of starting with easy games. Of course knowing my luck at the minute he will score 5 against wolves and somehow manage to assist himself in scoring them to get 50 points overall for the week! :D

Defoe has started every game when he wasn't suspended AFAIK. Spurs can't afford to be resting their better players. It would be hugely surprising if he didn't play. Spurs don't have Europe to worry about, they start their best XI whenever possible.

    My team for the week..

    Sorenson

    Cole
    Shawcross
    Wilkinson----

    Fabregas--Milner--Larsson---Giggs----

    --Bent---Drogba (C)---Rooney

    Subs: Hart, Carr, Collison, Dunne

Don't fancy Rooney or Fabregas as captain this week. I'm flirting with giving it to SWP, I think City can anihalate Bolton and he might be in the scoring.

I reckon i'll stick with Defoe as captain. Lampard got me a big fat 0 last week and Fabregas hasn't been bangin them in lately either

You couldn't wait to get rid of him last week ;)

Going with two risks this week.. Bowyer captain and got in Nelson for Hangeland because Fulham are missing a game next week.
Next weekend is going to be tough, I've alot of players not playing.

Bowyer to pull it out 4 weeks in a row? That is risky.

I made no transfers this week and yet my team selection was one of the trickiest to decide upon this season. I'm not entirely happy with my captaincy choice - was going to put it on Rooney - but I worry about his fitness. So I've taken a bit of a gamble putting it on Gerrard against Arsenal. I feel he's due a goal though.

Another risk is dropping Milner to the bench. It goes against my instinct as I reckon he'll get at least an assist at O.T. but my other midfielders look too promising to keep out.

    My team:

    Sorenson

    Carr
    Turner
    Evra

    ----Gerrard(c)----Fabregas
    Dempsey----Hunt

    Doyle---McFadden---Rooney

    Subs: Given, Milner, Vermaelen, Distin

I fear a disastrous week is ahead. Toughest week to pick a team, even picking a transfer to make.

With Liverpool v Arsenal and Utd v Villa, I found it a very tough week as well.
Agree about the transfer - didnt seem to be much in the way of obvious choices in midfield. Eventually went with Lennon in midfield but don't have much faith as he can blow hot or cold. Only thing is that I don't think Wolves will be up to much.
    Fingers crossed.

At least it possibly looks like the right option leaving Sorensen on the bench with his clean sheet gone.

I had similar problems selecting a defence this week,at least Shawcross has got off to a good start.
I transferred in Defoe and gave him the armband with Lennon in there too,not sure how I feel pinning all my hopes on Spurs for the weekend.:pac:

in the same boat - got Defoe as capt and transferred in Lennon.
    Gamble esp Lennon.
    Defoe less so.

I don't know how it happened really but a guy in one of my leagues is in the top 50 in the world. He seems to be some kind of FF savant this year, he was never this good before. Of course he has Figueroa and Shawcross. I hate him I hate him I hate him.
