Commercialisation took over unfortunately, I remember it kicking off 1988 -89.
The music was the drug, sadly the non-believers needed their drugs - each to their own but I couldn't see the point. Acid House started a golden age in Dance music and I think Drum and Bass was the last great innovation of this period. The great thing is this music is timeless, my young cousins jaws drop when I play them some of the 'old stuff'. Sadly, today it's the same old mix of cloned, unoriginal, talentless ****e! Oh and BTW, Stock Aiken and Waterman have a lot to answer for.
