Should have rang 112/999 if it was an emergency. Don't blame the lack of a decent phone network on the garda. It is not her job to know every area in the city and what station covers it.
She said "You should ring xxxxxxxxxxx" which mean she knew the area - but as I said its all my fault, who dares to blame the spotless...

Yeah nice guy, I understand now that you will never win with the Gards, no matter how much they fcuk up - they will always back themselves and no thread should be going out from Ranting&Raving where the mates don't seem to have much power :)

May I please ask again for this thread to be locked/deleted?

Sorry i started my reply then got distracted. Missed all the posts in between.

OP, your gripe comes down to a resourcing problem. Not enough Gardai to serve every call as it arises. Blame the people cutting the overtime, blame the people who have put a stop on recruitment, blame the people who are making early retirement a better option than staying in the job. I'm not saying rank and file gardai are 100% innocent here but it is hardly the decisions of individual gardai causing your issues

Just to point out I am a Garda......i'll back up Gardaí when I can see their point or when I dont think all the pieces fit. On the flip side I will, and have said sorry to posters on behalf of AGS for incidents that have let us down.

    Thread locked on O/P request.
