To those saying the library staff should work as if they had private sector jobs, perhaps you would be happy if the Library was operated as a private enterprise? You'd pay to take books out and pay to use study space?

There's a lad in there alright who likes the auld blank stare of death and contempt.

A friend of mine has suggested for the last while that the library should be allowed offer sponsership space to companies targeting students as a way of raising funds. How much more enjoyable would taking out 'Elementary Linear Algrebra' be if it was covered in an ad warning against the perils of chlamydia!:D

Its a postgrad facility, so factor it out of when evaluating the quality of the service.

I wasnt evaluating the value of the service.
I fully understand that the opening times are not suitable for a lot of people.
I was just giving my opinion. I like to do these things on the internet when Im bored.

As for whether or not I am entitled to use the 1937, I fully disagree.
I pay over one and a half grand to go to college each year.
If theres a quiet study space available to me, by god Im going to use it.
Infact, I am in the place now and theres only ten other people here.
Theres space to fit at least another 50 students, and it has bathrooms unlike this 24hr reading room in the Ussher I have heard about.
    Mozzletoff.

How much do you think postgrads pay? The least they deserve is to be free from the virus that is the typical Trinity undergrad...

You've no entitlement to it. You may feel your right to use it, but you've no entitlement to it. You pay blah, so the **** what.
