Don't know if many peeps on here used this torrent share facility but just logged on there and it has been all but closed down due to the Utrecht court ruling:

Utrecht, August 26th 2009 – Today the Dutch Court of Utrecht ruled that BitTorrent platform Mininova acts unlawful. Mininova considers to appeal this judgment.

Shame really as it was a useful tool for even TV series that were aired in the states. It appears there will be no stone unturned in the fight against illegal uploads.

I prefer downloading off super quick servers with no software required other than an optional download manager :cool:

Interesting. A healthy torrent is a well seeded torrent. Hence, if a torrent is unpopular by virtue of very few seeds, it will go slow.

The only torrents I know anything about are the torrents of abuse that I give to my children on a daily basis.

I use torrents for all my albums and sometimes for the odd movie here and there.

Then i use Premium rapidshare for all my tv series and hd movies and stuff, using either coolhd.org or katz.cd... either are fine, but if you are a RS user, make sure you check out either of these two programs...

There is so much out there on torrents that you just can't buy anymore though.

On a sidenote - Utrecht has to be one of the loveliest cities I've ever been to.

Anyway, there'll be a replacement soon enough. Dutch and Swedish law is becoming more draconian (which is a shame, because they've got really computerised societies that like the same kind of stuff as us, so perfect for uploading :pac:) but it'll all move east.
