    ah pants
I just ordered some on ebay last night, saw it on xpose last week.
My skin can be quite sensitive so I guess I'll just do a patch test first.

Valary - Rimmel do a really good nail strengthener, goes on like a clear polish and you leave it for 2 weeks, think its called "Nail rescue"

    thanks, will buy some tomorrow.
think i may be a dit run down and my nails are telling me
its fime for a visit to my gp.

Isn't it a pity the chemist doesn't offer a skin patch test before selling you the product - that way you could save yourself some money and grief it it wasn't for you.

I like the sound of it because it says you use it for a few months then never again.

I was considering buying this but after Emily Sue's post I'm worried. Did the rash come up immediatly? I was thinking of using it on my arm for a few days to check for reaction before I tried it on my face. How long before the rash cleared?
My sis and I use this.. both pretty fair.. blone hair on my arms but dark everywhere else.. I used this on the bikini area and it did not cause a rash at all...it left my skin really soft.. too early to tell if it works yet..

I have been using this product for nearly a week now. absolutely no
bad reactions , be sure to use the body version which comes in a tube
" on body only" the other which comes in a jar is the one for facial use '
the body version is a little dearer cos there is more in the tube. :) best of luck anyone giving it a try and hopefully no bad reactions. . . :D valery.

I got the body one for €28.50 including delivery, a little saving but it all helps

if the version you got was in a "tube" please dont use near your face ,
Im guessing its too harsh for there and thats why there was one or two
bad reactions , as i said in an earlier thread I have been using mine for a week now without a problem. I would not put my make up on till my pores
were closed too. a few precautions are well worth the time taken. :)

Hi Ladies, does anyone know of any pharmacies in Dublin that stock it - preferably South Dublin or North Wicklow.
    Thanks a mil!

hope u have no reaction, do a test over about 3 days anyway to be safe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,127 ✭✭✭Linguo

I really hope I dont have an allergic reaction, my mam and I got the face and body ones, tried a small bit on my arm just to see if I have a reaction, if I dont do you think it's safe to try on face?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22 Emily Sue

i only used it on my legs with terrible effects, so i'd do a small patch test everyday for about 3 days behind the ear maybe, u don't want any rash on your face so just be really careful with it.

No prob, keep a weather eye out or a new system called Epiladerm. Its non invasive as the troubled area is sugared and then 2 "compounds" are rubbed in , after a few sessions the hair dies ":)......driven mad meself.

No info yet but if you needed say your legs done or if your unlucky like me , a mustache under me nose would put the average guy to shame then no price too dear. i recon the price will be comparable to laser or electrolysis.will pass on any news re. same .

Thanks to all who gave me the info about where to buy Bioxet.

Re the post above - the place that's advertising 70% is Therapie. Only problem is that you have to pay the money upfront - no installments.

Re the price of Bioxet - for face it's €27.95 and body - €36.95
See link below for Ireland AM beauty slot re same:

I work in a pharmacy and it is a very popular product. I have spoken to loads of women who have been using and swear by it,most started to notice a difference after 40 days of using. I have started to use it myself and had no reaction.
You can get a sample of it in the pharmacies which sell it as the samples are sent in with the order.

This product for reducing hair growth on the body has caused me extreme suffering. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! I ended up with a severe rash on my legs which, weeks later is still there. I got no satisfaction from the company who supplies it, none at all, even though I sent them photographs of my skin.

It is being advertised now on the TY I noticed this morning, so please beware of it. It is dangerous. The rash may never fully disappear from my legs.

Guys, this is so silly. I have allergic reactions to a lot of things, but it doesn't mean I'm going to try and put a lot of other people off them.
Personally Bioxet works for me.. For years I've had extreme hairy arms, so I took the plunge, waxed them and put the cream on every night. It's great. My arm hair is thinner, shorter, weaker, and smaller in number. I've excema aswell, and have a LOT of allergies, so I was actually pleasantly surprised to find this was ok for me.

Don't be put off by one or two horror stories. You see that with everything on the market, when it effectively works for 95% of the market.

:) Good luck everyone who does use it.

    I love it.

I'm using the facial product for about 2 weeks now, twice daily and I cant believe the results are so good. The hair is already less than before, it grows thinner and is not deep black anymore. It is amazing. Ive been suffering from black upper lip and chin hair and am now really looking forward to the days I don't have to care about this problem anymore. For me, 30Eur for the facial cream is almost unbelievable value for money. :)

    Hi
I have been using BioXet facial cream for 6 months now and I cannot say that it has shown any improvement, if anything, the problem seems to have become worse since using this cream. I am told that the body lotion is stronger but I am extremely hesitant to use it now that I have experienced the opposite effect.

The customer service (in Australia) has been excellent but unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the product.

It is obviously a quite controversial product and Im really happy it works with me . Hope it continues to be that efficient...otherwise Id opt for the laser treatment since I just cant stand all the hair anymore.
