Haven't been around these parts for quite a while. Great to see the standard is being maintained! Here's a few from yesterday down at Poolbeg lighthouse

As usual, there were a few eejits who thought that they could make it to the lighthouse. While I was there (sheltering mostly behind a building), there were about 10 different individuals/groups who tried to walk down. I'd say none of them got further than 15 yeards before deciding that being fished out of the bay was probably not the best way to spend the afternoon :D

Gah....in focus is over-rated and over used.

Why do they insist on driving through it?

I had a hard time deciding which of the two portraits I liked best and which to post. So in the end I've decided to post both as they are quite different (the other photo is on the previous page).

Thats the road i live on. :( hopefully it wont get any worse.

@steve. why they insist on going trough it because if you drive further down the other end of the road its worse. and we need to get to work to pay the bills.

Hmnn I understand what your saying and perhaps I'll bear that in mind for future postings but I was thrilled that I got more than one good photo from a quick few shots. It was unplanned, we were having coffee and I noticed the light was really quite decent so I whipped out the camera and took a few shots. I think I wanted to post both shots to guage some feedback from the 'thanks' if there was any. I really like the blue tint on some of my portraits but it's not going to be everyones cup of tea. So while I liked it, I wanted to guage what other people thought and which they preferred. Perhaps a C&C would have been better.

So in summary, I think you're probably right. Lesson learned.

I must say I'm quite happy with how this turned out, despite it being the result of an unplanned wait around in the city centre, and despite the copious amounts of free Murphy's that I had consumed before it! :D

Here is panorama of Croke Park which consists of 10 shots stitched together. It came out quite well considering I took it handheld on a compact camera....
