Was just flicking around you tube as you do and came across this video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I6KJHWtib4

Now i think, you just dont see that anymore. Those massive flocks of birds in the sky flying around in formation. I remember as a kid you would see that regularly. obviously not to the same extent as the video but it gets the point across.

So what else do we not see anymore that used to happen back in the day.

I was only talking about them yesterday. And the 'Ready to Go' mobile phone credit cards.

On a side note, why are there still public payphones around? has anyone used one or seen someone use one since 1995?

Don't know if this was a common thing everywhere, but about 11 years ago(approx last time I seen him),there used to be a fruit and veg man who drove around in his van delivering to all the houses about twice a week. He came to us for years. Haven't even heard about that since.

It's almost impossible to find one that works and isn't vandalised!
I used one a few years back when my mobile was dead and really needed a lift, but they just eat up your money so fast, complete robbery!

On the payphone theme, I thought of another one:

Payphones in people's houses. We used to have one at home. The aul one made a mistake by not hiding the key to the little cash box away better.

Many a lucky bag & sherbet dip was bought with a family member's phone call funds!
