lag on mw2 on special op coops

I have mw2, and only experience lag on the special op coop play.
the single player online is fine, just have prob palying coop.
would this be due to the server for mw2(like usual startup problems for new games) or do ya think it something to do with my broadband speed?

im hoping its startup problems and eventually online lag will be fixed...
