Game Hosts

    Few question I'm hoping some of you can answer.

    1. Before the game starts, how is the host chosen? By the strongest connection one would assume?

    2. Just before the actual game starts, I always press 'back' to look at everyones connection and sometimes I see the everyone else has 1 bar whilst mine is full. I assume this means I am the host during which at some point in the game I always get kicked out and a new host is found.

    Why is this the case, and if my conncection is not as fast or strong as someone elses, why am I picked to be the host then in the first place?


    8/10 games this isn't an issue but when playing with mates it gets annoying when ya keep getting kicked out.... :(

    no idea im afraid, havn't had any bother like that, its happened a few times that the game pauses mid game to find a new host but that all I know on it. Sorry.

    Afraid I can't help either, but I'll add my 2c.
    I presume hosts are picked on the basis of best connection, so sometimes it's strange when a host is picked, and then it migrates because of lag for everyone. Just guessing but maybe it has something to do with upload/download speed. I know that I have faster download but slower upload than a friend of mine, but he makes a much better host, but I am often picked as host first. So maybe it picks based on download speed.

    The other issue is that when I am the host and it migrates I always get kicked from the game. Which is a seriously bad glitch. I don't know if IW know about it, haven't heard much talk about it.

    Just kicked out of 2 games in a row there. Never had any problems with other COD games.

    Very annoying. :mad: Before the game even started i hit back and another lad had full bars while the rest had none. My friends said the game got laggy for them, like myself, but I get kicked!!
