problem with my m1330 screen

    Hi
    I got a dell xps m1330 from my friend but the problem is that the screen is not working

    it is just showing black screen.. no dell logo or anything

    all other things seems work fine

    also the back led of the screen is working fine

    I tried to connect it on external screen using the vga port and using the hdmi but nothing showed up
    the laptop is not under warranty now

    so any help please..

    have you tried turning it off and on again ? :pac:


    ah no for real now. its most likely a driver issue, not installed, corrupt or something along them lines,

    try and get the drivers on you HDD and see if it helps

    Run the laptop and put a light up to it. Can you see anything on screen?

    Its common enough that the backlight/display inverter will have burned out, causing the backlight not to come on. These can be replaced for under a hundred by yourself quite handily.

    could be the nvidia issue, since it wont work on an external display.
