    Hi!

Start a new job 3 weeks ago and gave them p45 from old job and bank details etc... but do I have to ring up the tax office and do something? like tell them ive changed job? I just cant remember!

really cant afford to pay emergency tax at the end of the month!

    Thanks in advance!
    Neil

You shouldn't have to do it, however I always do it to ensure I don't pay emergency tax.

Usually when I've started a new job my employer gives me their tax reference number and tells me to ring the tax office to have my credits transferred.

I've only ever had three jobs. Each time I gave my pps number and they sorted it out from there.

Mind you no harm in doing what AARRRGH has said.
