warning ATI X1 series cards-unplayable MW2

    just a word of warning. if you have an X1xxx ATI card, don't bother getting the game as there are huge issues which essentially make the game not worth playing. as far as we're aware, it's going to take a bit of time before a patch comes out and let's just say we are not their priority.

    this really sucks!!!!

    Can I ask what the symptoms are? I'm having problems with a 8800GTX but am not sure what the problem is.

    That's weird. I'm running the game on the 8800GTX too - at 1920 x 1200 with max settings. No problems whatsoever here.

    the symptoms are all lettering is completely scrambled and pixelated. the game actually plays but you just have huge clumps of crap on your screen and all the menus are unusable.

    it's well documented on the steam forum and it only affects the X1000 series ATI cards

    Are they even trying to fix this? The x1xxx series are now considered Legacy cards, and as such are apparently not supported by certain games. I had similar problem with Resident Evil 5, and ATI had said that they had no plans on fixing it.

    X1xxx????....so my Radeon X1650 fits into that dont it.......hrm, another reason to skip MW2 on the PC and get a console version instead.
