The Disney Channels and Digital + Box

    anyone else having problems viewing the 2 new Disney channels on the plus box? For some reason they are not working on mime, i get a blank black screen.

    They are working on my smaller pace box.

    I tried to do a network search in case it was a tuning problem but then i have noticed that dose not work any more, in fact, i lose all my stations when it fails. Luckily , it was just a matter of unplugging the box and then back in again, for all the channels to come back bar Disney. :confused:

    Both are working here in Bray on my DVR (silver Thomson).

    Did you receive your new card in the post ?

    That's the only reason the Disney channels would have a 'Black' screen.

    Seems a bit daft on UPCs part to launch these channels on the Max pack and not have all there cards swapped out given there new encryption are on these channels.:confused:

    Nope, only received a card for my second box, which isn't a DVR. Now that I remember it , I did get a letter informing me to expect a new card for the DVR, but that was over 4 months ago.

    I got onto UPC this morning, they are sending me out a newer Card for my DVR to hopefully resolve the blanking out of those two Disney channels. Couriered out too! Great!

    interesting, let us know how it goes.

    I got a replacement card for my pace box a few months ago and at the time, i was told my DVR didnt need one as it was quite new. If it is just a card issue than that's not too bad, they are easily replaced.

    Yes, it's resolved. Once I activated the new card, both Disney channels stopped broadcasting in the "black". Looks like the newer cards are required.

    I had the same problem on a 'new' card.....!!

    A helpful guy on boards PM'd me & told me that some of the Disney channels are 'provisioned' differently (ie not automatically switched on even if you are entitled to them).

    I phone UPC & told them this, the guy checked & said 'oh yeah' sorry about that & within 10 minutes they were all working...............

    Are they available if you have the + box and Max package? According to site from what I can see you need to pay or get the movies package is that correct?

    Yeah, UPC added The Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney to their Max pack a few weeks ago. They are on channels 613 and 616 respectively.
