Modern warfare 2 midnight release?

I was wondering does anybody know if gamestop in Co. longford will be having a midnight release?

I really hope they are, if anyone knows please tell me, thanks.

I got an email from Gamestop yesterday about this.
Stores which will be opened at midnight for mw2 release:
Henry St Dublin
Santry
Clarehall
Pavilions shopping centre Swords
The Square Tallaght
William Street Limerick
Bray
Sligo
Drogheda
Bangor
Belfast Arthur Square
Derry
Patrick Street Cork

All other stores will open at 8am, where possible. Check in store for local times.

The problem with this is the game requires Steam, thus the game must be released on Steam first before you can unlock it as far as I am aware . . . so any midnight release here might be too early. I suspect it will be unlocked midnight Seattle time where Valve Software are, which would be near morning in Ireland.

I will try and find out for sure though.

Xtravision in Carpenterstown (near Castleknock) is doing one. We have the shop dressed up with a bit of a war theme, with some giveaway's on the night. Cheers!

Just to let everyone know, iv gone to tesco in the past for all major releases gta iv etc and they've always had the game available at midnight! Never even pre booked or anything and theres never a que cos people are too caught up with a real game shop to consider it!

They usually have them alot cheaper too, i got GTA IV on release night for €45

Checked with them and no they are only opening at 8 on the tuesday. Also if you prebooked there will be 2 q's at 8 in the morning. Those that have paid it off and those that haven't so pay for it before hand to save alot of time!

I think alot of the shop will open for this your best bet is put a despoit down if you havent already and stores will be ringing people soon

Apparently Xtra-Vision in Mullingar are doing a Midnight release too.
Mind you the girl I just spoke to was saying she was 'fairly sure' they're doing it...:P

I'll tip down at midnight on Monday and suss it out anyways. I mean they're open til 11pm so an extra hour or two wouldn't kill them
