Heading up to the game tomorrow, a few swift ones in the Strand on the way up. I predict a war of attrition with Munster to grind out a 6-8 point win.

Very good call, hope you put some money on that?

Normal service is resumed. A stuttering performance by Munster, midfield still hasn't clicked. Time for Warwick to start at out half, no more of this messing. O Leary showed why he's Ireland's no. 1 choice at scrum half at the moment, great game, 2 sloppy passes aside. Wallace is a freak of nature. Overall though a poor enough performance by Munster but I enjoyed them grinding out the win all the same.

Good performance last night and getting the 5 pointer was more than I thought was possible, especially after seeing both teams last week, I thought Ulster were going to a double on us in TP. They were unlucky not to have scored at least once in the 2nd half but Munster deserved thier 4 trys and possible more:)

My MOTM would have come from O'Connell or Leamy really both had great games.

I really hate that nonsense. Would have loved to see a penalty given against Dowling.

This type of stuff is pretty common at all levels of the game......

I was pleased with the second half performance, particlulary pleased to get the bonus point. The game wasn't a great one but I though the Munster forwards stepped it up well in the second half. The scrum is still creaking but the linout was superb yesterday. O Connell would have been my man of the match, he got through a serious amount of work and was excellent in the lineout.
I am losing patience with ROG at this stage. He was rubbish yesterday, kicking and passing. It's obvious his confidence is shot. Warwick needs to be drafted in to Out Half forthwith. By contrast Ian Humpreys was the standout player in the Ulster side. It looks a poor call by Kidney to not draft him in to the Irish side.

If Hunphries tackling wasn't so awful I'd agree. DeVilliers brushed him aside without any decrease in pace a few times.

Ulster and Connacht badly need a dedicated defense coach, surely the IRFU could spring for one to spend a couple of days in the North and the West each week. Guys like Humhpreys,Keatley and Carr are never going to reach their full potential under the current coaching set ups.

Was that Dowling rubbing it in the face of Humphries? Not what you want to see, I'm surprised he didn't hit him a dig

I'm a big fan of Dowling and didnt spot it last night during the game but I kind of agree with the sentiments expressed above, we could do with-out it.

Really suprised Dowling managed to brush off that fall to play on. Alain Roland must have shown the fastest yellow in history for the Dowling tackle did anyone see it.

Overall great game Humph had a great game and is well deserving of an irish place dunno bout that beard though. JDV starting to gell better will nedd a few more games.

Something needs to be done with Earls and Warwick have had to watch the past few games on the box and have hard tiime pick them out from each other any chance one of them could panit their head red :P

Considering Archers game time at this level think he did pretty well.

    Wallace again stand out game.

Lets hope for good AI's and bring on december

Yep, really surprised he played on. There was a lot of worry initially and he crashed to the ground hard on his shoulder. It was a reckless challenge and Cave was rightly booed off the pitch.

I didn't even know he had been sinbinned.

It seemed like an accident from where I was but it was reckless and a card was deserved. I thought dowling wouldn't be getting up and was even more surprised to see him play on.

Well Wixfjord? what did you make of the game? Was Ian Humphreys your MOTM? ;)

Have to say I disagreed with the booing and was really disappointed with the guy behind me who called him a thug, I think Cave over committed on the run and just took him out, a YC yes but hardly a hanging offence. I actually felt sorry for Cave, he went back to check if Dowling was ok before leaving the field and then went to I think ROG as well to say sorry.

It was a natural and warranted response to a reckless challenge that could have ended up in serious injury to Dowling. I don't agree with the thug comments btw.

Yeah, it was rough on Cave to an extent, as he was leaving the pitch they were bringing on the stretcher, he was obviously concerned.

    What did Dowling do?

    What did Dowling do?

Played on despite landing badly after a reckless challenge from Cave. I presume that's what you're referring to?

The booing was unnecessary, but the challenge looked far worse on first viewing I think. It wasn't even remotely malicious, just a bit clumsy but Cave can hardly complain about the outcome.

I dont think Caves was that much worse than Earls in the first half, only that Dowling got a very bad landing but would like to see both again. No way did Cave mean it though.

Booing eh? Wonder if we'll have an article in the Indo tomorrow on it.

About the other dowling thing, we don't actually know that he was rubbing it in iHumph's face about missing the kick. The push could have been over anything. I don't think he was doing a Johnny Sexton.
