Lucie Jones doing Guns’n’Roses’ Sweet Child O’Mine

Stacey Solomon doing Keane hit Somewhere Only We Know

Olly Murs doing The Beatles’ Come Together.

Danyl Johnson is said to be undecided between Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing and a rock version of Careless Whisper performed by Seether

Lloyd Daniels is hoping to shed his innocent image by belting out Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl.

John and Edward doing Queen's We will rock you
Yikes.. some serious song murdering will occur tomorrow night so!

If that's true about Stacey then that's a bit disappointing. A great song but she needs to shake it up a bit, she's done enough slow songs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

If those are true: Lucie will be dreadful, Stacey will be boring, Jedward will be great, Danyl will be same old same old, Lloyd is singing a pop song on Rock week and Jamie doesn't seem to be singing at all! :pac:

There was never any doubt that some serious song murdering will happen!!! Just what level of murdering is what we'll wait to see!

Heard on the radio the song the twins r doin n it makes sense for them to do it rather than who it looked like was going to do it!

Mind u according to the front of the Sun today the twins have swine flu!!!

Yeah heard that on the radio this morning, there's a chance they won't be able to perform tomorrow  If that's true, then they'll have a free ticket to next week (like Diana did last year) but then tomorrow night's show will be booooring!

Cheryl really hasn't a clue about Lloyd, Bleeding love, Cry me a River, Fly me to the Moon now this. They're all cutesy little songs, same thing and getting boring. John and Edward are going to be epic, I can picture it well :D I think if they keep their usual standards they should get through.

Lloyd Daniels is hoping to shed his innocent image by belting out Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl.

I'm guessing Lloyd's one is a red herring....I hope not though :pac:

What the hell ...!!! Since when is Lloyd's choice a rock song!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,185 ✭✭✭asdasd

Lloyd needs to sing I kissed a Guy, to get the same effect as KP.

To be honest...that isn't really my main problem with that particular song choice.
"I kissed a girl and I liked it.
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong, it felt so right
    Doesn't mean I'm in love tonight (?)"

It's going to take enough gender tweaking to make Danni's head explode for that to work on any level...

Either way...oh how I will laugh :pac:
Something tells me Lloyd won't give Cheryl a cuddle after this week's crying act.

Get that bint off the show. SERIOUSLY! She clearly knows nothing about music

He'll sing I kissed a girl.. Can't really change the name of the song. It's really pushing it to say it's rock..

Cheryl hasn't got a clue about song choices. It's just cringeworthy at this stage.

This weekend's X Factor will feature the first behind-the-scenes look at the making of the contestants' new charity single You Are Not Alone, with proceeds going to Great Ormond Street hospital.

Rachel topped X Factor vote - report

A tabloid newspaper report has now claimed that Rachel Adedeji topped last weekend's 'X Factor' vote.

It was previously claimed that Irish twins John and Edward were most popular with the voting public.
According to a report in the Daily Star, Rachel topped the poll, with the twins escaping the bottom two by 0.5%.

The report also claims that John and Edward have been in the bottom four every week so far.

A source is quoted as saying: "This is going to blow the whole competition wide open now."

"People were actually starting to believe that the twins were going to win. But now it seems their days are well and truly numbered. They could even be out this week."

So which is it top or nearly bottom ????????????????????????????

I just read this on RTE website  If this is true then the leak about John & Edward topping the votes could have been a strategic "slip-up." And this report does seem more likely TBH :(

I'd rather believe in Jedward attracting top votes than Rachel. They have many enemies but also loads of fans, she's lukewarm and nobody votes for lukewarm performers.

    Full list

    Joe -
    Don't Stop Believing
    - Can he get all the high notes?

    Jamie -
    Livin' on a Prayer
    - He better not **** it up

    Rachel -
"One - as performed by Adam Lambert" (I' guessing that's U2's One, not Metalica :pac:
-Sounds like a chock full of done to death deja vu crap there

    Danyl Johnson
    Careless Whisper
    - So basically the exact same performance he has done for the last 3 feckin weeks

    Lucie
    Sweet Child o Mine
Who knows, she might surprise us. Hopefully she will make the most of it.

    Stacie
    Somewhere Only We Know
    - Danni clearly doesn't know what "rock" means...

    Lloyd
    I Kissed a Girl
    - That poor bastard. What the hell is that stop sign doing to the poor lad?!

    Olly -
    Come Together
    - Hm...same thing again really...

    Jedward
    We Will Rock You
I can only see good coming out of this :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 58,456 ✭✭✭✭ibarelycare

    If those spoilers are true:

Joe - don't think it'll sound good with his voice...and he better stop with that bloody cheesey smile for rock week

    Jamie - I think he'll rock it

Rachel - very boring song choice, they need her to do something big.

    Danyl - boring

Lucie - if she pulls it off, it'll be good

Stacey - she also needs something bigger and better

Lloyd -:rolleyes: What a joke! Complete cop-out Mrs Cole

Olly - can't think of that song from the title? But he can do no wrong :D

    Jedward - :D:D:D

Overall, disappointed with most of the song choices. Boo! Miss Frank are going to be badly missed by me, they were very exciting to watch when they got things right.

How are some these song choices rock?

I hope Danyl is eliminated this week

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 7,853 Mod ✭✭✭✭suitcasepink

I think both reports are staged. Complete propaganda, staging the media. It really seems that its a dirty trick to get rid of John and Edward and its completly unfair. I really hope they stay in another week because of this alone.
I wouldn't be surprised if neither topped the votes.

Yeah but then Danni might out him:D

Since when is Danyls a rock song?? Is there another one besides the Wham one.

I reckon Olly will do a brilliant version of Come Together. The Twins will be great at 'We will Rock YOu'. The rest will be average except for LLyod and Stacie - I can probably ring my Mum and make a cup of tea when they're on, they're so boring!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,432 ✭✭✭df1985

how is danyls rock?? the original version is more elevator music than rock!! the prick has to go soon!

    Joe -
    Don't Stop Believing
    - Can he get all the high notes?

I think that is surprisingly a good song choice by Cheryl. Joe's performances so far have been too "nice but dim" so far for me, if he can pull this off it should serve him well.
    Jamie -
    Livin' on a Prayer
    - He better not **** it up
Like with Week 1, I reckon he'll struggle with the low notes and will be dying to get to the big chorus, but he should just about make it through.
    Rachel -
"One - as performed by Adam Lambert" (I' guessing that's U2's One, not Metalica :pac:
-Sounds like a chock full of done to death deja vu crap there

    I just listened to it for the best time, it's not even rock. Rachel should do it like this;

    Danyl Johnson
    Careless Whisper
    - So basically the exact same performance he has done for the last 3 feckin weeks

So this is the well known song that Simon said Danyl will do "a very different version of." Let me guess, he'll start off low and go wild at the end, haven't seen that yet.
    Lucie
    Sweet Child o Mine
Who knows, she might surprise us. Hopefully she will make the most of it.

Great song choice from Dannii, Sheryl Crow sang a cover of this so if Lucie models her performance on that she should be safe.
    Stacie
    Somewhere Only We Know
    - Danni clearly doesn't know what "rock" means...

Haven't heard of it before so I checked it on youtube, another boring and safe song shoice from Dannii for Stacey. She could be in trouble.
    Lloyd
    I Kissed a Girl
    - That poor bastard. What the hell is that stop sign doing to the poor lad?!

Cheryl Cole continues her form in shamelessly whoring this guy to every teen and pre-teen in the UK.
    Olly -
    Come Together
    - Hm...same thing again really...

By The Beatles? Might be a bit dated, but I'm sure Olly will be safe.
    Jedward
    We Will Rock You
I can only see good coming out of this :D

I had a fair idea that Louis would give them Queen, but I would have gone with Another One Bites The Dust. We Will Rock You is not as easy as it sounds, you shouldn't really camp it up.

If those song choices are true, I'd be willing to stick with my belief that Stacey and Rachel could be gracing the bottom two again. However if Rachel manages to really let loose like Mary J Blige does on One, she could be safe, what she can't do is "softly, softly" your way through that song like Bono or that Lambert guy. I wouldn't rule out another stint in the bottom two for Danyl, even Jedward could be in trouble too. Hmmmmm....I know I shouldn't, but I'm changing my mind, Jedward and Stacey to be in the bottom two.

Yup, but I don't think Dannii is giving her great songs, she should be making her current instead of making her into an 80's diva throwback.
