i got the wave, but i can't send any invites to anyone, why?? I mean, i have no contacts in my wave, so i can't actually see how it works... what's the point of having it then?

Got my invite direct from google. It is a bloated pig of an app at present, riddled with bugs, feature omissions and memory leaks. My system ground to a halt at one point, and I saw that wave in firefox was eating the most of gigabyte of RAM. I've never seen google release a beta in such bad shape, even though it is probably their biggest project to date. I'm still hugely excited by the possibilities of the app, but if you haven't gotten an invite yet, you aren't missing much.
