I think it's a VW Polo, the coupe one around 1991. Just see it there now a Lada Samara.

Aha! Was thinking that after posting but went away from the PC so didn't bother looking up pics. The door handles were putting me off as I was assuming it was a much older car.

You can still buy a brand new one, still with those doorhandles: http://www.lada.ru/cgi-bin/models.pl?model_id=4458&branch=tth
And Lada wonder why they're in trouble these days...

I have, but there are only two in the picture. There used to be another two cars parked on the pavement, a Grey Vauxhall Wyvern (postwar model with suicide doors) and a Black 50s Ford V8 Fordor but they appeared to have disappeared around 1985.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 281 ✭✭ep71

the 504 looks to be in good enough nick, nice interior and all there, the cortina is sorta half stripped and not in grat nick, no lights and head off the engine etc, the garage they're in is long abandoned

Came across this one day while biking in the mountains,i'd be good to spot the make/model of a car,but i cant figure out what this is? Parked next to a rundown old cottage, the forestry had grown up all around it.It must be there 50 or 60 years i reckon, had red leather interior if thats any help.A fiver for the first person to know what it is :D

Dang that's a tough one! We will not be defeated though...

I'd love a close-up view of that steering wheel boss, that seems to be the best clue so far.
