This was one of the questions i got asked in a survey out at the airport. I think it was someone from KLM. There was no way i could answer it on the spot but i told her to tick the 100-150 box. But it got me thinking and i managed to calculate roughly how many hours i've been up in the sky. Around 470. That's over 19 fecking days. And i'm sure i'm missing flights to England and Europe when i was a baby. Over 200 of them are to the US alone. So can any of you figure our roughly how many hours you've flown?

Probably about 60, and all in Europe. Look at you ya shmancy fecker! Jet setting all over the world and still have time to come gloat about it to our E-Faces!

Just increases the chances you'll suffer from deep vein thrombosis and have purply veiny legs ya smug git!

    Big.
Throws a lot of hot air around the place.
    Expensive to run and keep.
If something goes wrong, a lot of people are hurt.
That_Guy could quite well be an airplane..

    100.

i do fly a fair bit but bar the last two flights I took, all my flights were short-haul.

Probably somewhere in the 125-150 area I'd say.

Mostly short trips over to various parts of the UK with a good few to the US making up the bulk of it.

I've flown lots but not logged a single hour.
Is there a log book I can buy?

I'd guess about 250 or so over the years, damn long distance hauls to US and Asia.

Nope. Born and still live in Finglas South. Had relatives in England and Euskal Herria so used to visit them. Went to college in the US on a scholarship which contributed to the tally from flying back and forth.

Seems to be about 350-400 Commercial Air, 15 or so MilAir (C-130, C-17 etc), about 45 behind the controls of light aircraft, and about 5 hours in military helicopters.

    NTM

Thousands. There was one month where I was on 16 seperate flights (and developed DVTs in my legs). These days I fly a lot less.

    somewhere between 1200 and 1500 I'd guess.
14 returns to Australia, about 30 returns to the US, a few to SE Asia and countless Euro flights.
