Panasonic Viera HD Plasma TV Question

    Hey guys,

    I have a Panasonic Viera HD Plasma TV. I have an NTL box plugged in to it through a scart and a blu ray player plugged in through the USB slot. I also have my laptop hooked up through S video at the front of the machine
    My query is this:
    when i turn on my tv it automatically tunes itself to the "TV" station which is just a station of fuzz. I then have to turn it to AV2 station which is the NTL box. Even though each time i watch the tv i have it on the AV2 station when i turn the tv off - it automatically goes back to the other station.
    I dont think the tv did this when i first bought it earlier this year.
    any assistance there? I would like to turn on the tv and have it on the NTL station automatically, rather than messing around with the input buttons.

    There should be a setting in your TV's menu to allow you to select the primary input, you may need to check your TV's manual.

    I don't think it has anything to do with NTL box.

    How are you switching on the TV i.e. which button on the remote are you pressing? if you press a number e.g. '2' then the TV interprets this as a command to 'go to channel 2' so it will go to TV (tuner) mode instead of looking for an external input.

    As an experiment, watch something on AV2, then switch it off, then switch it one using the power button rather than any old button, it may switch on and go back to AV2, if it doesn't then you need to consult the manual.

    i use the power button to turn on/off all the time

    tried checking through the manual - nothing in there about primary inputs. so i'm still left with same problem.
    if anyone else has any ideas - maybe its time to speak to customer care!

    For a question about a specific TV model you'd need to checkout the Home Entertainment (HE Video Displays & Projectors) section of boards..
