Golly thanks for this man. I'd never even heard of this guy until a few mins ago. Gorgeous stuff indeed.

Well, in anticipation of enjoying more of the same I found his web site and lo and behold there's a legally free album to download that from reading his notes may be even more up my street. It's about to make it's way onto my player for a stroll around the block later today along with a tin of coke, bar of dairy milk and a slightly larger than necessary spliff

Yeah that free album is excellent too... everything I've heard from him is, I have had an Anders evening this evening and gone through a few albums while finishing some poxy work before the weekend!

That sounded like a nice start to the day... I plan a big-feck-off spliff for tonight, coupled with a bottle of red wine... very sophisticated

This is such a special track to me and one that really does bring a tear to the eye and beg the question as to where the hell the last 15 years have gone to. It takes me right back to being in my late teens and discovering all this wonderful music for the first time and the scene that went with it.

A pretty unusual one today... well, unusual more so in the album it comes from. Its the last track from a techno album called 'Transcience' by Technova and its basically a poem set over a really nice piano piece...

seriously loving Anja's Theme. How representative would that be of his music? I did a quick scan around the interweb but have not yet had a chance to check out his myspace page and other spots where stuff is streamed.

Not really that representative of his music in terms of this album anyway, one other ambient track which is the opening tune - the album otherwise is techno but quite melodic though too - atmospheric techno for want of a better description!

Great album though, heres one of the more well known tunes he released, also from the album... stunning tune actually.

yea, got that impression while listening to Oasis and then clicking further into 'Horns in Thorns' which is most certainly not ambient. Great techno though.

I only managed to pick up that Gas album last year - it was reissued directly by Mat Jarvis. Only had the MP3's prior to that, great album.

Tune for today is from Andy Weatherall's 'Emission Audio Output' label and also actually by him under the Deanne Day alias - track is 'Midnight Automatic'. Quite ahead of its time given that its from 1996 - could be a current dub techno release!
