Not long til forza! Horray! I'm in the top 1% of the world in each drift catagory on the demoCOD MW2 and Forza 3 are the two things that are gonna mean a lot of people wont be seeing me for long periods of time over the next few months.,:D

I'm suprised only one person has said anything about Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising coming out on Friday.
It looks amazing and possibly the most realistic war game ever.:eek:
I'll be getting it on 360 as I think online is much better on that.(i have a PS3 also)so I'm not debating on which is better overall.
Forza is class I'll be getting that also.
But for the moment OPFP is the game for me.
Hardcore looks unreal.
You have to use a map, compass, grid reference to find your way around.
haha.
No cross hairs, no HUD and remember your ammo spent and just have to use info given to you by other soldiers.
Can't wait.

yeah been waiting of Dragon Rising for ages now , a lot of poeple wont like the idea of 1 shot and your dead and the fact it not geared towards typical run n gun type players,
its looks Awesome on the 360 be picking up a copy on launch day:):) ,

I prefer proper milsim games(one/two shot kills).
Thats why when I play COD I play it on Hardcore mode.

Realisitic as it might be it will have to be somewhat dumbed down to support the consoles compared to the Original Op Flashpoint on the PC or even its close cousins ARMA and ARMA2.
Still multi player will be a lot more accessible on the 360 which will make up for it in spades.

Ill be leave that when i see it. How will it be more accessible? One of the best parts of the op flash/ arma series is the modding. Want a new type of tank? No problem. Want a new multiplayer map scenario for your server? No problem. Plus you can run outside voip progrs such as teamspeak to relat specific orders/warnings to other squad leaders without jamming up everyone elses comms.
It took about 4 weeks from release for a chap to port an online TvT mission that mimics project reality style gameplay. Now thats accessible 0 -

I'm not trying to debate which is better.
I'm sure its miles better if you have a PC thats powerful enough to run it.
I'm not into PC gaming purely because I don't want to have to upgrade it for different games.(The effort of that)
The last OPFP that was ported to the xbox was great graphics weren't amazing but game play was great.
Either way the new one will be good.
I've read they're bring out the mod app down the line as downloadable content for console so it wont be that much different except less people on a server on console.0 -

I take your point however I think you are equating customization and the ability to easily generate user content with accessibility.
Where for me accessibility means flaking out on the couch after work, spinning up the 360 and playing with my mates after a few minutes.0 -

loved the original flashpont on pc ,didnt get mech time with ARMA at all isnt Flashpoint 2 the almost incestious half sister to ARMA2 ,

Yeah having to upgrade is a bitch allright. But then again: If your into PC gaming you knew what you were getting into.
I was raised on PC gaming. Havnt bough a console since a mega drive (which i still play alot....because its awesome )
The PC version, as allready stated in "Flaking out on the couch", is far more serious i suppose. Its like the MilSim of gaming :cool:0 -
MegaDrive still working , microsoft and sony still have a lot to learn
gaming for me started back with a sega mastersystem ,

My biggest failure is that to date i have never finished WonderBoy in monster world.
Looking at it now it was one of the gayest games ever created, but i still have to complete it. HOW THE FAWK DO YOU GET TO THE PYGMY VILLAGE? I KNOW I HAVE TO SHRINK SOME HOW.....BUT HOW!?!?!?!!?0 -
