Where or where can I buy some reclaimed piano ivory keys in Ireland?
    Anybody know?
    or
Where can I get a good piano technician to repair the piano ivories on my antique piano and do some other work on it perhaps?

    Thanks in advance,
    artalis

There is a guy on Berkley road in Dublin 1 who repairs piano's. Don't know his name although he should be the golden pages.

How many ivories are missing? The trouble with replacing ivories is that it can be difficult to match the colours.

The lower covers have come off two keys, but they are with the piano and just need to be re-attached. They are a brighter colour than the rest of the keys and may have been cleaned at some stage or in fact may be replacements. Two other keys are chipped and need repair.

There are some excellent refinishers in the states, that strip down keys, clean and repair or add new natural ivories but they don't import or export repairs unfortunately. What about Ireland?

I got a quote from someone recently for 400 to repair these 2 keys, and level any uneven covers but he did not offer to clean the keys saying it was impossible. He also suggested that any other work could be extremely expensive.
