A great one is in 'Home and Away' how Kirsty and Jade used to be able to do the whole twin telepathy thing, until we find out that Jade was accidentally switched at birth and was in no way related to Kirsty. I also thought it was excellent that once Jade went to live with her biological parents she was never again mentioned by the family she had spent 17 years or so living with.
