Got my KOSS headphones too...yeah it's a lot better than my cheapos from dealextreme (I can actually hear new parts in Hotel California). :)

Delivery was very quick for me - shipped on the 27th, received on the 1st.

Same here and sound/comfort is even better than I expected from reviews. Online reviews can sometimes have an element of "the king's new clothes" about them. But I suppose after 25 years of production the truth will out.

Thanks Thirdfox for the VAT info - I'm surprised they don't collect under E6 - I'd have expected they'd just raise the exemption limit. The Revenue can work in mysterious ways. The invoice/delivery note was interesting, I thought ;).

And many thanks to OP for drawing my attention in this direction, even though I didn't buy the item you had spotted.

    Ordered a pair there.

Was so diappointed with the cx200 II's I got but I am thinking I justy don't like the sound of the in-ears.

    Giving sen another chance!

Just to chip in, I got a pair of these from Peats on Dame street for like 20-25 euro about a year ago.

Cool, and what did you think?

The ones I quoted above were my first in ear (like proper in) earphones I have tried and am not impressed at all.

These here will be my first earmuff style pair.

I can't see how you're going to get any better for under 50 euro tbh. Ears tend to get a little sweaty after like 3-4 hour stretches but the sound quality is distrinctly Sennheiser, even at the bargain basement end of the scale.

Just to add that Peats are doing 10% off all their headphones at the moment. Not a massive discount but every little helps.

Anyone ever use the Sennheiser eh150? Are the cups really that small? Thinking of getting them.

Saw this thread this pm and, having needed good over-ear portable headphones for ages, I was lead to this:

    http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Portable-Headphones/Koss/Koss-PortaPro-Headphones

Seem to be a classic, great reviews and at the best price I could find.
Bought a pair of these and while they lack in style, they definitely make up for it in sound quality!

I had my doubts of Koss having good headphones, but I've been proven wrong. There's a nice bass off them. Suffice to say, I'm very impressed. It's worth getting your hair pulled by the band for the sound quality :)

Quite happy with the HD201's, greta base for the price.

    Thanks for the thread guys.

    Back in stock at £13.99

    Original link still valid.

    Yep.. definitely worth the bump.

Would be buying these myself if I already didn't have a wireless set of Sony cans, and wired set of Sony cans barely in use.

    Great deal!

Not really. You can get Meelectronics Ai-M9s for that.

They are in ear headphones, not really comparable

It's all a matter of opinion.. but they're chalk and cheese!

Both budget models.. but the Ai-M9's are an in-ear headphone whereas the HD-201's are cans.

I'd wear the Ai-M9's for walking down the street listening to iPod, whereas the HD-201's would be used for listening to music in my home or office.

EDIT: witnessmenow beat me to it!

They're not in-ears, despite what the title says. They're earbuds. In-ears have soft plastic tips which seal your ear canal. I wouldn't expect much of them, don't read too much into the Sennheiser brand ;) The best company for earbuds are Yuin.

Sound is sound, and the M9's would kick the HD201's ass.

If you're listening in a quiet environment you should be buying PortaPros, my man :p

I thought the picture might have been the wrong one, but if their not, their worth £5.99 surely?

Is this website safe?? I'm surfing on chrome and it gave me a security warning saying that that their security certificate is not trusted (SSL error) and that I shouldn't proceed. Has anyone had any problems with these guys??

    Nope.. they're reliable!

Ordered twice off them in the last month actually.

I went onto the site again and the warning wasn't there. I saw other deals from them on bargain alerts, so I guess it's chrome maybe being a bit overprotective.
