    Hi all

Been having problems with the NTL box for months now, channels skip when using the remote same with when using the guide or menu functions. Had the box replaced but the same issue continues. The second technician to come out said it was a problem with our philips flat screen tv and that there's an interference problem with them and samsungs sometimes with the digital box. He also mentioned the same issues arise with sky. Has anyone had similar issues? Or any idea of a possible remedy?

    Many thanks

Find where the IR receiver is located on the front of your STB. On the black DVRs it's just above the card slot and to the left.In good light you'll just make out the top of the diode under the front housing. Place a piece of masking tape over the sensor area. This blocks out any background interference but will still let the remote work.
