Head works with different speakers, both leads I'm using work.
    Everything connected up grand ect...

When I play, no sound through the speakers, not even the buzz you get from typical high gain amps.
Everything points to it being blown.

See, the mono/stereo switch was a bit iffy while I was using it today at practice, I thought nothing off it at the time, just said I'd fix it when I got home.
I can see now, I made a bad decision.

    So, my question now is...
Can it be fixed or is it fcuked?
If it can be, how much am I looking to have to spend on it, to get it fixed?

Alternatively, would this be a job I could do on my own?
If so, could you give me a walk through of what to do?
(Hoping Paolo, might have an idea.)

Tbh, I have to bring my head down to a shop at somestage anyway, it works but its stuck on the crunch channel, luckily it's the only channel i really use. haha

    Thanks in advance lads.
    Cian.

    Cian,
    Don't start panicing just yet.
It may be a simple as a disconnected wire from the cab being moved around.
Do you feel confident to open it up and do some visual checking?
If not then bring it to the shop, but if so...

    Things to check:
Look first, does anything look out of place/loose?
Gently tug on each connection, do any come loose?
Gently press the speaker cone inwards and listen closely. Do you hear any sound like rustling paper? The frayed ends of a burnt speaker coil will rub and make noise that you can hear.
If you want, a "good enough" multimeter can be bought for < €10 and is a pretty handy tool for any guitarist to have, especially guys who are generally good at DIY stuff. This will let you check for continuity from the jack through to the speaker(s) themselves and isolate the problem quickly.
Loose connections can always be fixed easily, damaged speaker cone can be fixed (this is not what's happening here though), but a burnt speaker coil is a matter of bite the bullet and buy a new one I'm afraid. :(
If it is a burnt coil think of it as an oppertunity to try out different speaker types :). They make a massive difference to your tone depending on what you go for. I'll be starting my tone tests properly soon, now that I have ProTools up and running in a stable fashion... so you should get an idea of the changes a different speaker can make with the same amps and settings.

    Thanks, Paolo.
I'll crack 'er open later tonight when I'm a little more away (I'm a little messed up time wise) and do the checks you listed, I'd be into doing a DIY job if there's not to much involved.

It's only a mid range Berhinger box, so I don't mind tooo much if it gets a little messed up and I need to buy a new cab... As broke as I am. :o
I'll take my time with it and do it right though.

If needs be, I reckon some CV30's would be awesome.
I've heard they go great with my head.:)

    Just checked the cab...
    :(
The coils are well and truely burnt.

The only thing I can do is give the back/get the money back off who I bought it from and put that towards a new cab.
For 4 new speekers, I'm looking at upwards of €350, wtf is the point in putting 4 new speekers in a berhinger cab?! haha

I'm going to go for a Framus dragon, 4X12 I reckon, not to expencive and they have a great rep.

Ahhhh, I was hoping is wasn't the coils, I'm seriously broke right now.
