    Reading in the local rag that Aldi have puchased a site on Upper Main Street for a new store. No planning permission as of yet. Anyone know the exact locatio for this, paper only says upper main street.

    we were talking about this last night at home.

    Its around the hotel and maxol as far as i know.

    Which end is upper and lower? Lived there 14 yrs and always thought that upper main street was up at the old cinema and lower was the hotel end. I figured Aldi was gonna buy over the old cinema or something and re-develop.....

    upper is near the hotel... lower is near the square.

    theres on one area there zoned for 'general business'.... its located midway between the hotel and maxol and stretchs to the rear
