I was in a bery bad mood today so went out for a spin in the night to Dun Laoire. Gorgeous night, had an ice pop, tooks some photos and drove home happy.... here are some pics

These are our most common Aeriel spider here in Japan. This time of year they are everywhere in their hundreds. And their webs are huge, often spanning the width of the road. Really have to be careful when walking in woods to take photos. They don't bite, but who needs to be bitten, its enough to have a spider the size of a small plate running down ones back:eek:

This little fella is becoming a frequent visitor to our front door at night. Comes to munch on the leftover cat food, and the slugs the cat food attracts! Think there might be more than one as well.
