To transfer it onto the net you have to type in the info or have a mic on the computer that can pick all the little beebs and whistles the polar makes to transfer the info.

It is a good machine though can't fault it.

I had one and got rid of it as the transmitter seems to be very weak, and could not reliably connect on a large (frame size) bike, you could see it working if you held the head unit close to the transmitter, but it failed when the distance was increased and was well failed before the stem was reached.

Have a good search on the web, this is a know issue and people have tried all sorts of things to get it to work including modifying other cateye transmitters, which is all well and good if you are stuct with one, but given a choice get a sigma or something else.

Have one and find it very good. Polar are the best for hr data

I have one as well and find it excellent. I've never had the issues about the transfer of data but if I remember correctly the max range for the sensors is pretty short so might be worth checking the distance and then measuring your bike up before you buy just to be on the safe side. The upload on to the net is really good, well it was before I bought a Mac haven't been able to get the software to work on it yet. Anyone on here with one of these using a Mac?

I have one about a year and a half now. Hadn't had any trouble with it until the last couple of months. Started getting really low readings on the HR.

Contacted polar and they said to send the unit & the chest strap in and they'd take a look at it and have it back to me in 7 days. Sent it off and got it back a week later with a new chest strap. There was low connectivity on the contact points on the original one so they replaced it under warranty.

Other than that - no trouble at all. would definitely reccommend it. I have heard others having trouble with it (Your brother Derek being one of them, as far as I remember!)

Yeah - I'm using it with a mac - I use VM Ware to boot in to windows to upload data. A bit of a pain but works fine.

I did hear there was a third party OSX application that allows you to import data from it. Can't remember of the name of it I'm afraid.

It may not be polar but its only €20. Worth to get you started into the world of Max HR Avg HR and all that kinda stuff.

I know the S series cadence and speed sensors can be modified to broadcast alot further, very easy, I did it to mine.
