    Hi!
Want to get a new amp. Looking at three Peavey combos. Don't know hich one to chose. Here's the choices:
    PEAVEY BANDIT 112,
    PEAVEY VALVE KING 112
    and PEAVEY VALVE KING 212.
Basically I want a combo for small gigs, like local halls and the like, but also for practising in my room. That means it can't be excessively loud!!! :D
I play stuff like Megadeth, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, so kind of Blues to Heavy Metal. Sound and tone is paramount so I don't want to skimp because of price so any of these amps are within my price range of around 500 euro. Also, the Valve Kings are tube amps so I need some info on maintaining the tubes and replacing them and what not.
    Cheers!
    -Paul

You could get a used Marshall JCM 800 combo for that kind of money. All those bands have used Marshalls at some point..and the JCM 800 is the epitome of 80's metal and would simply eat any of those Peaveys for breakfast.

Listen to felim. Also, if you do decide to go the valveking route, don't bother with the 212. I used to have a 112 and turning it up to 3 was unbearable. Also, the valveking requires a lot of work to get it sounding nice, I have to change the stock speaker on mine, it just sounds muddy otherwise. Hope that helps, best of luck with whatever you choose!

Valveking very bad... It has its good points but not in the type of music you want to play. Dont limit yourself to peavey on that kind of budget.. Way better new and second hand combos out there for the money..
