We have NTL in the living room. However we want the NTL in one other room. We have a 3 way cable splitter provided by ntl at the back of the main living room telly. It is possible to connect a 4 way spitter for another cable and then physical wire it into the second room. Does this cause trouble by weaken the signal and would I have to watch the same channel thats on the main channel.

If so can some1 suggest a solution for me, I looked on to the NTL website, for a multiroom viewing box they want 50 euro installation and 8.50 euro a month. Can you buy these boxes second hand cheaper and are these else to installed on your own,

Any other suggestions I would be grateful

Yes, you can change the three-way splitter to a four-way and wire to the other room. Signal strength will reduce but it should not be noticeable going from split three ways to four ways.

Of course, you'll only be able to view analogue channels in the other room unless you have another digital box there too.

yeah you will need the additional digital box in order to get full service in the other room.

You can split it a fourth time and the service will degrade a bit but shouldn't be too much
