    hi,

why does UPC keep doing software updates at stupid times?

can't they schedule them for the early morning or something?

I'm assuming everyone in a certain loses their TV and has their recordings stopped at the same time during this.

    cheers.

Updates are rare and usually happen over night. What you have sounds like a fault of some sort.

Ding Dong is correct. These are done at night during off peak viewing hours.

    Ding Dong, we meet again:cool:

By "keep doing" I when it does happen, not that it happens a lot.

but they are definately updates, the message popped up when it happened earlier.

    hi,

it just happened again. I walked into the room and the UPC box was off, and after a few seconds it came on.

the clock said 20:10 but after a minute it corrected itself to 21:11.

luckily my recording had just finished.

anybody else get a software update at 9 pm on a Sunday night or should I call UPC tomorrow??

    regards

It's NOT AN UPDATE. It's more likely a glitch with your box.
Proper software updates are usually noticed here pretty quickly and you'd know about it. They are rare and nothing on the scale you're seeing.
    Ring UPC tomorrow.

I agree. My DVR started dong that once ... 2 or 3 "software updates" per day, every day. It was broken, and I got it replaced.
