Hey guys. Who do you use for your exam preparation papers? How about some links to sites and companies offering these supplies by the exams they are used with? No braindumps will be linked. I'll be checking up on any and everyone linked here, and if I get so much as a sniff they they're not legit then they'll be cut.

These are what I am using to study for the latest MS server exams. Currently no books are available so you have to use the net. I also have VMs with 2008

What I do is this, I print off a copy of the Skills measured by the exam and then I do any labs available on that subject, I also view any demos \ videos I can find. Then I use the technical library to fill in any of the gaps I find. So I essentially tick off each of the Skills measured listed until I cover the exam.

A Quick Tip;
For the Server exams Microsoft has always expected to you to know all the command line tools, so even though you might never actually use them, make sure you know what they should look like. With PowerShell and Windows Core this is now even more important. For Instance you need to know how to configure services from the command line, how to add / remove a service or role, that kind of thing. Terminal Services is also a big topic aswell as Virtual Services.

Just passing thorugh - I post on Boards.ie but not usually here.

Heres some useful resources for CCNA/CCNP/CCIE

GNS3 - Emulator which will allow you to run Cisco IOS. Great alternative to buying kit. Although hands on experience is obviously essential.

The rack-rental arms of Internetworkexpert and IPExpert respectively . Very handy for the professional level Cisco labwork, and much cheaper than building your own lab (for most you can use GNS3 for the basics and then rent rack time for the devices you don't have).

A great free general video tutorial site, not specifically cert oriented but the knowledge can help (They're also a great resource for training on open source products that no commercial vendor covers).

I'm currently studying for the Comptia Network + and Security+ certs. I have to say I'm finding the free Professor Messer tutorials a godsend! He has A+, Network+ and just recently added the updated Security+ to his training vids.

In saying that, I would advise using the Sybus certification kit books and this as an addition to those. Personally, I don't think online tutorials/courses alone work too well.

Some excellent resources on Youtube for MS/Cisco exams.

For example Cisco CCNA Networking Fundamendals just as one example (esp for anyone trying to get their head round Subnetting, lol!)

Here's some free online training for MS exams 70-640, 70-642, 70-643 and 70-680. Pretty good.... IT Free Training MS Exam Training Courses
