    Hi guys,

I'm 20 years old and going to be moving from home soon as I hope to start studying in a private college in Dublin.

I have been looking on a Daft.ie and a lot of the places tend to be over my budget and the ones that are suited are already occupied by Internationals who have told me over the phone that they like the quiet life. Also a lot of the people are from their mid 20s onwards.

I really want to experience the student life in Dublin as this is my first time away from home (I'm from the North).

If anyone knows of anywhere available please PM me (north of the city would be best) or it would be great if someone could post some advice- I would really appreciate it.

Mods, sorry if thi is in the wrong place.

Thanks for your help in advance guys.

Really might want to reconsider the north side idea.

There are some bargains to be had, although bargains might be overstating it. It also depends on where you are going to college. Certainly outside of the city centre it'll be cheaper and don't mind the listed amount make them an offer. Just keep looking at daft.ie, rent.ie and property.ie.

Thanks for your replies guys. I know there are cheap options out there and all the properties I'm looking at online are in the northside.

The main issue is my potential housemates/flatmates, I am viewing two properties this week and in both properties all the people are Internationals and older than me. It's just that I was hoping to befriend my housemates as these will probably be my main source of craic. As my potential course is very small an in a small college- and is only 1 night a week. It would be a bit as a lot of people work full time and I'd be up for socialising etc.

It would be nice to live with a few people from Dublin etc but I can't seem to find any of them! It's just I'm afraid I will be left out as these 2 properties I'm visiting there's a couple of Croatians and Polish in each one and I don't want them to be speaking in their language all the time and me feeling left out. Which probably will happen- they have every right to speak in their language.

Where are all the Irish people? Where do those who go to private college in Dublin live?

    Thanks.
