im here! ya still here? drunk again ms.crumble?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭raah!

Hullo morning-tarians. I've just recovered from poisoning myself terribly. Most drunk I ever was, and then couldn't eat for an entire day and now I still feel bad. There were a Doors tribute band playing, so we were obliged to drink whiskey. My friends got a head start on me and when I went to catch up I over shot it somewhat and destroyed my brain :(.

Really was a terrible two days. I had a cup of tea with my cat this mo rning though, so everything is looking up :D. Be careful with the alcomohol crumble! It's a terrible dangerous thing.

hehe, im still here, and more 'mellow' than drunk at this stage. i think i've managed to exhaust all my resources for the next couple months :/

and yowch raah, sounds like a rough one.

importantly, did the whiskey give you the necessary requirements to dance like a looney to the tribute band? cos doors are a ****ing good band to dance drunkenly.

and alcohol is a lovely, wonderous beautiful thing, to be loved and worshipped. even when it comes in the format of cheap wine your ex-housemate forgot to bring with him...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭raah!

Oh it most certainly did, had I made it to the thing on time to get tickets . But I missed the band, and met my friends afterwards, they said it was great. Two of my brothers were there two, all of us were sick then afterwards :D.

yes of course! I don't know what came over me there. But in many ways it's scary you know, the fact that it impairs your ability to tell if you've had too much or not, and then kills you when you have too much :P. Only a minor drawback really, and if you're not a retard like I am that's not much of a problem.

None the less I shall have to abstain from the worship of beutiful and wonderous alcohol for a time.

We're having a very nice morning here in ireland, how's new zealand? mountainy?

ha, yes, i had a good night last night at this sweet punk gig in this flat that's just had the bottom floor cleared of all stuff and a few skate ramps and a stage set up. sweet venue.

but one dude had started ****ing me off cos he kept knocking into me (got a few bruises now) and i was just turning around to get him to back off when i saw that he was just absolutely out of it drunk. so i kinda forgave him safe in the knowledge he'd fall into the wrong ****er at some point of the night. had great craic watching the dudes moshing, falling 4 feet backwards across the floor while taking a swig was pretty impressive, another dude break a glass in his hand when someone jumped on him.

good night. miss drinking properly. scrounging and scavenging a couple here and there but no proper drinking till after NOFX. (hopefully i'llk've saved up enough to find somewhere to stay...)

but you missed the doors?! duuuude. you missed out... woulda been a great night dancing, plus, it kinda keeps the aul whiskey under some sort of control when you dance it off i reckons.

new zealands good... our spell of 12-16 degree weather in winter during the day has ceased for a bit,it's all grey and rainy now, but nothing i can't handle ;)

Geech, hate when you have a dickhead in front/behind at a gig. That one sounds pretty insane though I've never been to a real punk gig. My friends tell me that it was just them and a few others really groovin' about at the doors. Mostly old people it was, standing and appreciating.

I did miss out massively, it's true none of that would have happened if I got there.

Ah, it's gray and rainy here too, but more a nice misty rain. I'm gonna go for a field walk with my cat and tea. Good day! (night?)

Your cat goes for walkies Rah? Has she no self respect!!

She has plenty! She rules her domain with an iron paw!. All the same, she wasn't feeling the walk today, she wouldn't cross the stream, too much self-respect :).

agh, he wasnt too bad. when i realised he wasnt doing it to be a dick, but more that he'd a somewhat compromised equilibrium, my annoyance turned to amusement.

punk is still alive and well in grotty oul christchurch. moreso than metal, it seems, but apparently it'll tend to be great for one for five years, then the other'll make a come back and the pattern goes like that.

the punk gigs are quite cool cos you've all your 16-20year olds rockin it out and ****, and then you've all your 30-60 year olds still in their leather and mohawks and mullets keepin the younger crew in line.

had to laugh at one older dude, as we were watching the lads in the pit with drink in hand, and sprays of the drink catching the light frequently, "show some ****in respect lads, your piss is for ****in drinking!"
I did miss out massively, it's true none of that would have happened if I got there.

i just look forward to the next time i can get that disorderly.

They give me the heebie jeebies.
This punkness sounds like great fun altogether. Why don't we have that. :(

I'll never understand the desire to break through the awfulness of running.
Surely if god had wanted you do it, he would have made it feel good from the get go.

punk is pretty sweet. really looking forward to NOFX, bad religion and UK Subs. as have mentioned already, shall be achieving mohawk for the occasion :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭raah!

Where are bad religion playing? Not in ireland I suppose :(. I think I'll re-build my bad religion library right this second, it was all on my old computer.

I'm almost hangover free, had some fried tomatoes and waffles and lots of tea. A good morning. Here is a song with the lyrics "fish dance the disco of beaar dreams"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

cant listen to the vidjo as the speakers are currently being used for the tv...

but bad religion are headlining the NOFX gig. i must confess that i know very little of their stuff, but am in the process of familiarising myself... anywhere you recommend i start?

i must confess, punk, i love live and go to heaps of gigs... but they're 98% local bands, (i love Ois II Men so much), but am still sadly and badly versed on all the bands i should know.

minor threat is a good name, i may have to check them out... wana get my head round bad religion first, gig's gonna be loose.

As far as bad religion goes, I would not be able to pick out an album to reccommend, they have like a zillion. But if you are just starting out with them then have a look at the song "sorrow" 's quite good. It is the first song of theirs I heard, and I always reccommend to people the first song I liked of a band.

Punk is great, requires alot of energy to even sit and listen to though :D

Congrats on your inhuman levels of health MoN. Well, super-human, rather than inhuman, that's the one.

Edit: Better off dead is really fantastic too, leaders and followers... I'm having a great time reminiscing about bad religion. Off to the pirate bay! Slumber is an important one!

minor threat are straight edge punks, i like! but i cudnt do straight edge!

still love crass, sooooo much, penis envy is my fav album! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

crass are a good ****ing band alright. apparently my b/f met one of his greatest mates when at a party as surf/beach bums, someone turned off crass to put on wham and my fella shouted 'oi! put crass back on' and his mate-to-be thought 'who is this person who knows who crass are? i must meet him'.

people sit through punk gigs? fcuk that! you gotta dance/pogo/mosh. gotta.

and ska. i love ska. i dont actually own any, but it is my flavourite thing in the world to dance to when i've had a couple whiskeys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭raah!

Heavens no, not at gigs! That would be absurd, I was refering to myself, sitting here at my computer right now :D

Mayhaps I shall explore some crass and some ska today. Haven't had anything new in a long time. Good day grapevines :)
