Oz equivalent of a PPS number?

Hi, Heading to Oz on sat on a WHV, and was just wondering do i need to get the equivalent of a PPS/Social Security number? If so, how do i go about it? Only entered my head now, been googling away but can't find anything cos i'm not really sure what to look for! :) Thanks, Lucy :P

It's called a Tax File Number (TFN) and you can apply for it at your local tax office when you get here.

I think you should be able to apply online as the holder of a working holiday visa.
