Is that for a joke or do you just have a lot of software problems?

This is mine. For the time being at least.

Hopefully upgrading to Windows Vista soon enough.

Will it really be that much faster* compared to Windows Vista?

There are cost issues that I have to think about.

*=Although, I've heard good things about stability from the beta release (or the pre-release if that's what it's called).

Tried that once before. The installation wiped my harddrive so my plan to dual boot between XP and Ubuntu failed and I had to rely on Ubuntu until I could get an external CD drive to use my reinstallation disc (long story).

For the month that was in it, Ubuntu just annoyed me. I don't have much of a programming background so I found a lot of things very hard to use (particularly installing anything and actually getting it to work) so I eventually just went back to XP.

I honestly think I'm stuck on Microsoft operating systems. I find anything else too unfamiliar.

Although, I am thankfully able to work Mac OSX when the occasion calls for it.

I must be the only one who can't see the point in dual-monitors!

I use dual monitors in my day job - can't imagine going back to 1. I'd get a third if i could get my IT department to issue me with one! :D

Have you tried phoning one of them with the old "about what you promised me when we met in the pub the other night...." trick?

what you promised me when we met in the pub the other night....

That seems very dodgy when I read it again!
