    Hi

Im not sure if this is the correct forum for this.

I am looking for some information. I am looking to buy a small amp to connect to my mp3 player to output music in a small hall.

Would anybody have any suggestions as to what amp I should buy or what wattage i should be looking for.

Thanks in advance for the help :)

    Sarah

Sounds like you want a small PA system - something like this?

Thanks a mill but it was actually an amp i was looking for. I run a dance class and was just looking for a small amp so that the kids can hear it while they dance. Just something small so i can move it from class to class.

    Something like this might suit:

Battery powered too which could be helpful.

What kind of money were you thinking of spending? If you're on a tight budget surely a regular ghetto blaster type jobby with a line in would do? I can't imagine you need top notch sound quality or even something incredibly loud?

What do you mean by 'amp'? Guitar amp? That will sound awful with an ipod running thru it.

Not completely true. I run my ipod through my microcube and it sounds fine with plenty of volume for its size. Obviously not audiophile sound but for a dance class it would be perfect. It's small and can run on batteries which sounds exactly what the girl is lookin for
