    Hi all,

In need of training advice. 30 and about 14.5 stone so a touch overweight. Signed up to do a 10k run in Sept, and I have never done any cross country running or athletics....ever

What sort of training should I be doing. Is running around a sports field enough gradually increasing the distance or are there other training methods I should be considering?

Thanks for all help in advance
