UPC Menu / Guide Supposed to be this slow?

I moved from Sky to UPC recently. While I'm happy enough with the channels and phone, and more then happy with the Broadband, the menu is terrible. It takes 5-10 seconds for the menu to come up, then a further wait before I can select any channel grouping. Is this normal?

Well it's not 'supposed' to be that slow, but unfortunately that seems to be the standard. It seems to have alternated between being almost completely unusable to being not quite as bad. I've given up on it completely and just use the browse button and scroll through the channels that way, it's great for seeing what's on now, not so good for seeing what's on later.

edit: that's with the standard pace box anyway, the DVR box could be better, not sure.
