was the whole thing a lot more difficult to take as you were left with a rabbitt on your noggin for all the world to see

But seriously. Blitzkreig, which McDonald's was the hat taken from you in?

Google Maps link? Maybe there's a few people on here who wouldn't mind helping you look for it. I know that if you happened to live near my that I wouldn't mind (unemployed).

In the unlikely event that you could get the CCTV from McDonald's or some image of their faces, I'd say that someone on here would probably recognise them.

Or just go back same time next week with tasers.

Sorry for your loss but why were you wearing goggles and a top hat? Some character from a book?

He liked it and it meant a lot to him... I don't get the need for analysing and questioning the item or the wearing of it... or the need to be c*nts just because "this is After Hours".

It's not about how ridiclious the hat looks, it's the sentiment!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,246 ✭✭✭✭Dyr

Where did they run to? people generally can't run that far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,232 ✭✭✭ferrigan101

Just out of interest, what way did they run off with it? I'm around the town centre mostly everyday, I'll keep an eye out for it. And there would be no harm in asking the manager of the McDonalds to have a look at the cctv cams.

    Hope it turns up.

Where did I say or even suggest you should just sit there and not reply? I said I don't see the need to be a ****, that's not the same thing as the former.

My mother used to always say "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything".

My father, perhaps a less eloquent but more enlightened soul used to say "A **** will always be a **** when their out of reach".

PS Its afterhours, not the place for emotions matey.
Is that right? whatever it is, it isn't a place for trolling. Take it some where else, matey.
Huh and you claim to know how the site works. Chortle chortle!:D
    You clearly don't.

OP, sorry to hear about the hat. They sound like a bunch of spas.

I don't get the need for analysing and questioning is what you said!

just sounds funny, are you implying unless we agree with poster we should keep out sentiments/questions to ourselves!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,148 ✭✭✭✭KnifeWRENCH

Why were you wearing it out and around if it was so special to you? Fancy dress?
^I thought that was a genuine enough question tbh. I think people are overreacting somewhat with the namecalling and such.

Still though, that really sucks BlitzKrieg. :( Hope you get it back somehow.

sorry about the hat especialy since it meant alot but on a night out u should EXPECT ur hat to be taken from ur head, d!ckheads

While this theft sucks for those involved, its obvious that from some of the replies from the AH regs, that this hat was not an item reserved for special occasions, and was in fact part of the OP's regular attire. nothing wrong with that in itself. judging by the pic the op seems to be one of those "i'm wearing something wacky and i stick out, aint i an individual??" types that you see in dublin.

I have some sympathy for the OP as having scum nick anything off you is a kick in the sack, but he should have known better than to wear it in a fast food ****ehole in the city centre at chucking out time. theres a time and a place for individuality....but this wasnt it.

Oh yes, on every single thread.

I wasn't suggesting make an exception at all here because the OP is feeling down about this, oh no.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,382 ✭✭✭petes

Look. if something means that much to you, it shouldn't be worn out. Not my particular taste but you will always get some gobshites that will see it as a pisstake opportunity. Each to their own and all that but seriously, OP if you go out dressed like that, expect it.

Fair point. I'm surprised the OP doesn't get into more fights with skangers looking like that.

Is this country of ours, that was once held in such regard, gone so far that now a man can't wear a hat out because the average person is a scumbag and will take it. Has it gotten that bad that we should Expect people to be scumbags now?

Spot on 120_Minutes. Had the OP been a tourist in the city for the night, I would have more sympathy for the surprise factor in all this.
